erasmus urology research
About us
The research at the department of Urology at Erasmus University Medical Centre in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, is conducted in several thematic research groups. These are: prostate cancer, epidemiology, bladder cancer, functional urology, andrology, and pediatric urology.
We want to improve the management of urologic diseases by elucidating the molecular and cellular base, the initiation and progression, the translation of the mechanisms and knowledge towards the diagnosis and curative intervention, and the outcome and prevention of disease.
We think that best care starts with best research, and that without research improvements are impossible. Therefore, we integrate the scientist with the doctors for optimal translation and feed back of results, and we mingle research groups to enhance creativity.
Please visit our website and enjoy the enthusiasm of both young and of experienced researchers, learn about their fascination with science and belief in scientific progress.
