Biobanking, data management

Biobanking, (international) clinical research project coordination, data management and legal/ethical issues
Project coordination and data management form an indispensable part of starting and running an (international) research project. The Urology Research Office gained impeccable experience with project coordination and data management through the European Randomized study of Screening for Prostate Cancer (ERSPC), the Prostate cancer International Active Surveillance (PRIAS) study, the Movember GAP3 international active surveillance study, and the national ProBio biobank study and Anser-database (network of prostate cancer care in the south-west region of the Netherlands. Part of the project coordination involves contract issues and applying for Ethical Review Board approval, as well as ensuring that participants sign informed consent. With respect to data management it is ensured that all data collection is in line with the current privacy regulation (GDPR).
